Thinking outside the box. Change your perspective. Simply get to know your colleagues' everyday working lives. Every two years, microSYST organises employee exchange days. Throughout the week, employees from various departments take on the job of their colleagues - including one or two ‘aha’ moments. Why does production take so long for the last 5 %? Or why are finished products not dispatched on the same day? What does the management assistant actually do or why can't I just reach into the shelves in the warehouse?
With management assistants, trainees, production, warehouse, marketing, dispatch and sales, there was once again a lively rotation through a large number of microSYST departments. A total of thirtheen employees took the opportunity to gain a completely different perspective for a limited period of time.
As well as being fun and new for all employees, the swap days demonstrably increase team spirit because they make the activities and processes of the other departments transparent. It goes without saying that the experience gained in this way has a much more direct and lasting effect: "Our swap days," says Managing Director Harald Kilian with certainty, "don't live from the change of activity itself, but from the exchange between all colleagues and across departments."
