Pupils' day in a festive LED look

Right at the entrance, the eighth and ninth graders from the Kemnath secondary school got an impression of the LED technology that almost everything at microSYST revolves around: "Welcome to microSYST" beamed from the welcome display. In a fitting way for the pre-Christmas season, Santa Claus and his reindeer sleigh also moved across the display of an LED cube.

The microSYST pupils' day provided a welcomed change for a total of 42 young people in the last week of school before the Christmas holidays: On 18 December, they learned a lot about training, job profiles and processes at the medium-sized system electronics provider from Windischeschenbach

Administration, electronics, IT in rotation

Harald Kilian, shareholder and Managing Director at microSYST, welcomed the students and their teachers before the programme began. The programme rotated through the various departments of the company in three groups. Valentin Heid stood in for trainer Katja Ermer and, together with Inga Helgert, took on the role of the administrator. They provided insights into the training programme for office management assistants (m/f/d). In addition to the classic office tasks, the students also saw how the website is maintained internally and how the social media channels are expanded together with the trainees. Florian Helgert represented his area of electronics as the responsible trainer. The young people were able to see what awaits them as electronics technicians for devices and systems (m/f/d) in the production area, where everything from small picking displays to oversized LED display panels for a wide range of applications are produced. Trainers Moritz Busl, Konstantin Andes and Helmut Landgraf demonstrated the diversity of the job profile of an IT specialist in application development (m/f/d) using concrete programming work and the software that microSYST develops itself.

An impression that remains

The visitors left again at around 12 o'clock. microSYST did not miss out on the final lunch with the young people and teachers. Just like the pupils, who left with a lasting impression of the diverse world of LED technology made in the Northern Upper Palatinate.
