The new trade fair stand attracts skilled workers and those who want to become one

Exciting training careers meet historic premises - that's the first impression of the Waldsassen training fair. A purely superficial image that would not even come close to doing justice to the event. Nevertheless, the mix of a time-honoured building and modern, partly illuminated exhibition stands offered exhibitors and visitors alike a very special attraction. And they came in large numbers. Around 60 exhibitors met plenty of visitors - from young people to skilled workers. Due to the current labour market situation in the region, the training fair was quickly expanded to include a trade fair for skilled workers.

The brand new microSYST trade fair stand - with LED backlighting to match - attracted numerous interested visitors from all age groups. ‘Show off what we do’ was the motto of the microSYST team at the trade fair in order to do justice not only to those looking for training, but also to the skilled workers. A line display and a four-sided display cube featuring the latest generation of LED technology attracted many an eye and often provided an informal conversation starter. In addition to the usual information on the apprenticeships for IT specialist in application development (m/f/d), electronics technician for devices and systems (m/f/d) and office management assistant (m/f/d), this time the focus was also on opportunities for skilled workers and lateral entry.

The trainers Moritz Busl, Katja Ermer and Florian Helgert, Julia Panrucker from Marketing and the trainees Jan Wamser and Nikoletta Georgoula handed out various giveaways via a small raffle (not only) for technology enthusiasts. "Our small microSYST anti-stress balls are a constant favourite at the trade fairs; they are well received by young and old alike," says Katja Ermer. And she is delighted that the response from visitors - not just to the raffle - was extremely positive.
