The most eye-catching feature of the industrial area Neuhaus in the town of Windischeschenbach is undoubtedly the knight's castle-like tower of the car depot, which can be seen directly from the A93 motorway. But behind this small landmark, it is literally shining as well. Or rather: glow. Since October 2017, the system electronics provider microSYST has pitched its tents there in the form of a newly built 3,500 square metre production and administration building. Dominating: the 10.20-metre-high and 2.60-metre-wide, video-capable LED display at the entrance side of the building.
With over 35 years of know-how in LED technology, the company has the best preconditions: LED displays in all facets, from small to extra-large, are developed and produced by the medium-sized company with around 50 employees, as well as light-controlled picking systems, car park guidance systems and other smart visualisation solutions. "We all feel comfortable here. The best thing is the space and the basic layout, which are precisely tailored to our needs - for excellent working and production conditions," says microSYST owner and managing director Harald Kilian, who is as pleased today as he was when he moved in five years ago.
From Windischeschenbach, he and his team have been able to impress almost 1,000 customers from a wide range of sectors - from industry to public institutions. Always in focus: the customer's interest and the specific requirement on site. "We work on a customer-specific basis and can meet almost any special requirement with our modular systems as well as our own software," says Manuel Rass, second microSYST managing director. Some major orders, of course, remain particularly in the minds of those involved: then names of renowned car manufacturers come up, but also the prefabricated house manufacturer Schwörerhaus or the listed pump and valve manufacturer KSB. Kilian and Rass agree that they are proud of the employees and the team spirit at the site, without whom the company would not have become a market leader.
