Less pixel pitch, more colour

New LED modules for optimised visualisation options

Higher resolution with the same surface area. This is the simple answer when you ask microSYST about the advantages of its new P4 modules. The system electronics manufacturer is now installing them in its migra and miline display series and their outdoor counterparts. In addition, the new modules save valuable resources.
 

A minimum of 7 colours up to full colour

The LED modules achieve a higher resolution thanks to a narrower pixel pitch of just four millimetres. This enables smaller character heights, for example for fonts, for shorter reading distances. Of course, performance over long distances - a classic strength of LED display technology - does not suffer as a result. It also benefits from more luminous dots, which means greater sharpness. This means that in future, you will be able to fit more characters and lines on the same surface area. At short distances, this results in a smaller display area. At short and long reading distances, users benefit from the four times better resolution: microSYST displays 64 x 32 pixels per module (previously: 32 x 16 pixels) on the same module surface. Even direct sunlight, usually the No. 1 challenge for visualisation technology, practically illuminates the new P4 from microSYST - a milestone in the industrial environment.
Despite increased performance, the new indoor modules consume 2-8 watts and the outdoor modules 5-25 watts, even less energy than their already efficient predecessors.
 

Smart control board for full flexibility

To ensure that the new possibilities can be utilised, the P4 modules are equipped with a specially designed control board. It is designed for independent determination, calculation, logging and output of data and measured values. The key to this flexibility is the internal bus system, which allows the range of functions to be extended as required by numerous additional components (including those from third-party suppliers). Free programming interfaces facilitate the connection.
