microSYST cuts the first sod

Harald Kilian, owner and managing director of microSYST, as well as Co-directors Elke Bannert and Manuel Raß represented the company on this momentous day: the groundbreaking ceremony for microSYST’s own building in Windischeschenbach took place on Monday, 18 July. After having been located in Weiden for 31 years, the provider for system electronics is expected to move into its new business premises in September 2017.

With this, a long-cherished dream will finally come true for Harald Kilian. Additionally, the new premises, including an administrative and a manufacturing building, are spread over 3,000 square metres, directly linked to the motorway. The new building will also comply with current requirements of energy efficiency. Thus, microSYST will be ideally equipped to meet future challenges.

However, for Harald Kilian, microSYST’s approximately 60 employees are the company’s most important asset. For him, the team spirit and solidarity amongst his employees are something to be very proud of: “Thanks to them, microSYST is so successful. I hope everyone will feel comfortable in the new building”.

The company’s management and the guests of honour were equipped with spades, each of them prepared with a LED letter, thus spelling out the company’s name. In about a year, that lettering should embellish the new microSYST building, shining its light over Windischeschenbach’s industrial park.
