Open day attracts many visitors
Sun, many visitors and a very successful programme: there is no better way to describe the open day at microSYST in Windischeschenbach. Last Friday hundreds of interested people visited the new premises in the industrial park close to the A 93 highway. An imposing administration and production building was built there within only one year. On the yard side, it became clear for the visitors: In addition to high tech and to a green company colour this new building is convincing also with a natural green in the yard as well as a well-being atmosphere.
MarioKart on a 4,5 m² screen and in-house developed mini games
In order to impress the visitors the whole microSYST team has invented many attractions: In addition to an insight into the world of technology using different LED displays and systems as well as a live demonstration of the order picking technology the company tour enabled a good insight into the new premises. The microSYST trainees have been there with a self-developed prize game which has attracted many people by using light, controll and order picking elements. Exciting for young and old visitors: mipac, the classic game Pacman made by microSYST placed on a large format LED display or a car racing game by clicking. Outdoors, all gaming and racing fans were able to try the console hit „MarioKart“ on a 4,5 m² screen. On a mobile 22m² outdoor screen, which can be rent for „Public Viewings“, microSYST presented its new image film with many impressions of the everyday life of a systems electronics supplier regarding development and production. The youngest children had much fun in the big bouncy castle. Different culinary offers provided the energy and freshness boost between the company tours and the gaming fever – from coffee and cakes to barbecue, pizza and tarte flambée up to green microSYST cocktails in the bar, there was something for everyone.
Entrepreneurial dream come true
Already in the morning the management with the owner Harald Kilian has started the open day together with invited guests as well as the employees. In his speech Kilian has welcomed not only the representatives of Windischeschenbach but also business partners as well as the companies involved in the construction and business friends. He also looked back on his personal 30-year history at microSYST: started as a communication electricians trainee in 1990, followed by his work as department manager and authorised signatory up to the important purchase of the company five years ago. „With the construction of this own company building a dream in my professional and business career has become true now“, said Harald Kilian. Not without particularly mentioning the high level of commitment of his employees: „Without you, all this would not be possible“, concluded Harald Kilian.
