As the largest automation trade fair in Austria, SMART opened its doors in Linz from 23 to 25 May. International exhibitors and almost 7,000 visitors from all over Austria filled the halls of the Design Center, where the trade event takes place every two years. microSYST sales partner Contra was on site as an exhibitor and used various LED displays as eye-catchers at its own stand.
Flashing, ticker and a TFT with product slides on the trade fair stand
The company contra Elektronische Bauelemente Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH not only supplies safety solutions for safeguarding hazardous areas by using various technologies and sensors. It also specialises in HMI solutions for human-machine interaction, such as display systems and operating elements - from keyboards to trackballs and touchscreens. LED display technology from microSYST therefore forms a central part of the portfolio. The flashing and scrolling of the LED displays also had an effect on the trade fair visitors: the display technology was strongly noticed. In specific discussions, the application fields of truck call displays and car park systems were in particular demand. Another microSYST monitor in industrial TFT technology was used by contra for product slides at the stand.
Andreas Hofmann, technical sales manager for Germany and abroad at microSYST, was also on site in Linz. "Innovative products and solutions, exciting presentations, personal exchanges and new impressions of the Austrian market - only a trade fair can provide this concentrated experience," he summarises his days at the fair. So it's no coincidence that SMART sees itself as "Austria's central information hub for industrial automation".
