Graphics-capable visualisation with independent logic

Modular LED display system with intelligent control masters every requirement

When is display technology actually smart? According to ChatGPT, it's all about data integration, networking, automation or extended functionality. If it's up to system electronics manufacturer microSYST, modular design, individual adaptability and - very oldschool - luminosity, contrast and durability are absolutely essential.

Today, graphics-capable LED large displays have to be able to do more than "simply" show information over a large area. There is more to it than numbers, letters, figures and graphics. With its modular design, the migra display series aims to do just that: different LED modules, customised housing frames, additional components and, above all, a modular software platform, provide visualisation solutions that are precisely tailored to every requirement.

Internal bus system provides almost unlimited possibilities

The intelligent heart of the migra series is the integrated control board: it is designed for independent investigations, calculations, protocols and outputs of data and measured values. The logic of the display system is programmable at the factory or on site. Classic applications are, for example, programmable reactions to states and events with direct output on the display board or on an interface. Thanks to optimised interfaces, data transfer is simple and intuitive. Integration into existing systems does not pose any challenges for migra either: The system structure is user-friendly and intuitive, yet even complex tasks can be easily solved through subsequent programming. Telegrams that cannot be changed by the customer are adapted by the possibility of direct assignment, evaluation and implementation of the individual commands and values in the corresponding data telegrams. The key to flexibility is the internal bus system. The internal bus also allows the range of functions to be expanded as desired by numerous additional components (also from third-party suppliers). Free programming interfaces are available for function expansion.

"Classic" benefits are still necessary for high-quality visualisation

In comparison, attributes such as luminosity, contrast depth or variable character size seem almost classic. Inevitably, despite all the smart technology, they continue to form the basis of every good LED display. With up to 16.7 million luminous colours, high contrasts and font/character heights from 50 mm to 250 mm and larger, migra visualises with optimum readability from a wide range of distances. Fixed or scrolling text as well as alternating display, images and graphics or any formatting pose no challenge to the large LED display from microSYST - even Unicodes and QR codes can be entered and displayed without any problems. The integrated memory helps with easy data retrieval. Also on the plus side: indoor or outdoor capability, single or multi-sided, wall, ceiling, pole, built-in or decoupled mounting, water and dust protection up to IP 65. "There is normally nothing we cannot implement - an advantage of our own production and development," notes microSYST Managing Director Manuel Rass.
This also makes adaptation for various, particularly challenging application scenarios possible, such as for extreme operating temperatures or vibrations. Numerous accessory components or adaptations round off migra: acoustic and optical signal transmitters, sensors for measured values, a real-time clock with timer and much more. Smart - and at the same time practically oldschool.
